This is to inform all teachers who sat for the 2019 Professional qualifying Examination (PQE) October Diet on 11th and 12th October, 2019 by Teachers registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) that the result has been released and can be accessed online and also downloaded in PDF.

All Teachers and individuals are to visit the nearest TRCN Offices, NUT Offices and other TRCN Respective registration centers to access their result status.

NOTE: Teachers who passed should go ahead to register at any TRCN centre close to them to be able to get their certificates and licences as qualified teachers.




According to reports 45,301 teachers who wrote the October Diet of the Teachers’ Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE) have qualified to register for teaching licenses.

Further analysis shows that 62,895 out of 66,354 teachers that registered participated in the examination.

The result performance was not bad because the average performance of those who passed the examination is 72.03 per cent, which is 45,301 candidates, while 27.97 per cent which is 17,594 candidates failed.

Our own very Lagos State Teachers recorded 88.19 per cent followed by Enugu State with 85.76 per cent and Kano State with 84.69 per cent.

The performances of the candidates from other states are also very encouraging and the Federal Ministry of Education and TRCN Governing Board are happy with it.

Though the TRCN PQE examination is not an achievement test but it will go a long way to ensure that individual teachers are professionally registered.

TRCN Teaching license and certificates will not be issued to any teacher who didn't sit for the examination.

TRCN wishes to inform the public and teachers who are yet to register but wish to that preparations and registration has commenced for November/December diet of PQE, for the council to meet up with the deadline of Dec. 31st set by FG.


NOTE: Teachers and individuals who failed the TRCN Oct. diet PQE have the opportunity to re-enroll and re-write the examination with the new set.
